Northwest Bead Society Annual Fall Retreat
October 9, 10 & 11, 2009
The Retreat Center at Camp Burton, Vashon Island, WA
It’s time to start planning for our Fall Retreat! Mark
your calendars for the weekend of October 9-11, 2009. By popular
demand, we’ll return to the Retreat Center at Camp Burton on Vashon
Island. This charming facility is located on waterfront property in a
peaceful, wooded setting on Vashon Island, only a short ferry ride from
Seattle. We are planning another fun, relaxing weekend this year for you
to: work on your projects, visit with friends, share what you are doing,
see what others are working on, watch a demo if you want, and just have
a great time - with everything taken care of for you. Our meeting space
has great views of the water, and the facility has beach access.

Your retreat registration fee includes both your
housing and meals. You will be able to come on Friday afternoon, leave
on Sunday afternoon and know that everything is taken care of in your
registration: all meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch), your
lodging for Friday and Saturday night, and our space to meet. Sleeping
accommodations will be 3 people per room, and you may tell us who you
wish to room with, or let us make the assignment. Linen service is
provided and each room has its own bathroom, although since we are at a
camp and not a hotel, rooms are left unlocked.
We do want this to be a relaxing weekend for all, with
plenty of time to bead, so we are planning a limited number of
demonstrations. If you would like to do a demonstration or mini-class at
the retreat, please contact Laura Bowker. We will again have the Secret
Beading Buddy for those who wish to participate, and of course, another
challenge project.
This will be a small retreat. Space is limited to 35
people. We are accepting reservations now, with a deposit of $50. The
balance of the registration fee will be due by August 18th to secure
your space. If you have questions, please contact: Demos - Laura Bowker,
